| Model of an EMD GP30 in Southern Pacific paint scheme, but without the usual SP lighting package. Model does have extra headlights on nose. Typical Lionel / Bachmann / Front Range shell with humps for cab steps.
According to www.ssloan.net/trains/sp/5000.html: "SP 5010 EMD GP30, SP Class EF423-1 -- According to good sources, including Strapac's fantastic SP Compendium series, SP 5010 was built in March 1963 by EMD as a model GP30, builders number 28182, SP 7400, SP Class DF-621. In 1965 it was renumbered to SP 5010 EMD GP30, SP Class EF423-1. The disposition of this locomotive is, retired December 1986. Sold November 1987, presumed scrapped." | ||||
